I. GUARANTEE

1. Materials are guaranteed for one year against defects and workmanship.
2. If parts are finished prior to installation guarantee is void. (Glue must bond to wood.)
3. Installed product must be finished within three weeks or guarantee is void.
4. Jobs should no be installed in temperatures under 50°. (Glue must not freeze.) If this condition exists guarantee is void.
5. Chase Stairwerks reserves the right to void guarantee if payment is not made within terms of contract.
6. Chase Stairwerks is not responsible for wood movement caused by climate.
   1. Chase Stairwerks will determine when wood movement has been caused by climate.

II. EXTRA CHARGES

1. If parts are finished prior to installation charges may be incurred.
2. A finance charge of 1.5% monthly (18% annually) will be added to al past due balances.
3. Chase Stairwerks will remove any one-piece temporary stairs as a courtesy. Any temporary stairs requiring fifteen minutes or more of labor to remove will be charged to Builder (Owner).
4. Standard Quote allows for a carpet runner (Partial Cove). Full cove is extra.
5. If a job must be stored beyond the original delivery date a 1.5% storage fee may be charged.
6. Chase Stairwerks does not install loose trim. The trim carpenter is responsible for final installation of trim up to our product. If trim must be removed, Chase Stairwerks is not responsible for damage to material.
7. Landings/platforms are not included unless specified on contract.
8. Installers must have access to house. Any lost time waiting to get in will be charge to the Builder (Owner).
9. If we have to leave a job for reasons beyond our control, i.e., painting fumes, other trades in the way, drywall finishing... Builder (Owner) may be charged.

III. PAYMENT

1. Purchaser agrees to pay all costs of collection, including all attorneys' fees, filing of liens and court costs incurred in the collection of account.
2. All contracts submitted pending credit approval.
3. All materials are the property of Chase Stairwerks until paid in full.
4. Staining or painting of installed product signifies you acceptance of product. Any changes prior will be charged to Builder (Owner).

IV. CLAIMS

1. No Claim on invoice will be considered if product has been altered, stained/finished
2. It is the nature of real hardwood to have a variety of color and grain textures. Because these varieties are the real natural beauty of hardwood, unusual or wild grain patterns, or slight color variation will not constitute a reason for replacement.
3. In case of claim on invoice Chase Stairwerks must be notified within fifteen days of invoice date for claim to be considered.

V. REMODELING

1. It is the responsibility of the Builder (Owner) to:
   1. Remove old stairs and rail and prepare area for installation.
   2. Remove and replace carpet.
   3. Replace drywall.
   4. Dispose of old material.

VI. MISCELLANEOUS

1. Nail holes are filled by others
2. Finishing is done by others.
3. Stair backs and walls are framed by others.

1. Our installers will place all scraps in a trashcan if provided at job site. If no can is provided they will either put scrap in a pile or pt it in a box for disposal by others.
