Will a job be scheduled before a signed contract is provided to Chase Stairwerks?
We are sorry, but no jobs will be scheduled without a signed contract, and payment of deposit if indicated in contract.
Can I make material, style, or layout changes to my stair design after the contract has been signed?
If you would like to make changes after the contract has been signed, that is your choice, but that may mean installation delays and possible additional charges might be incurred.
How can I confirm that my job will be installed on time?
Chase Stairwerks will call you the week before the installation to confirm the job is ready. Schedules are made the week before installation on Thursday. If you need to reschedule, please do so with at least a weeks notice before the Thursday before the job is scheduled.
Does Chase Stairwerks do any drywall or framing work?
No, Chase Stairwerks only designs and installs high quality staircases. Please discuss these issues with your general contractor.
When does staircase measuring take place?
Measuring must take place after the stair opening and all walls are framed, but before the drywall has been installed.
When does installation take place?
Installation takes place after the drywall is taped. It is in your best interest to have your walls primed before the installation.
Does Chase Stairwerks paint or stain the stairs?
No, Chase Stairwerks installs raw wood staircases, and leaves the painting/staining decisions up to you. Chase Stairwerks may prime the balusters; in this case the balusters should be lightly sanded for the paint to adhere. If the balusters are to be left out so the painter can paint them, you need to advise Chase Stairwerks at the time of scheduling. There is a minimum $250.00 trip charge to return to install balusters.
